A typed biographical sketch of Anson Strong Brooks, a Minnesota lumberman and pioneer, who with his brothers formed the Minneiska, Minnesota company, Brooks Brothers, to continue the Brooks family grain business. Brooks Brothers later expanded into the lumber business and Anson Brooks became involved in a number of lumber companies and lumber holding companies, including founding the Brooks-Scanlon Lumber Company.
